Transport van Overveld was founded on 1 July 1988 by Gert and Elma van Overveld. Now more than 35 years later, we are still a genuine family business. And that is evident in both the working atmosphere and the employees. Daughters Cindy and Wendy have since joined the company.
In 35 years, we have become the Spain specialist for all your transport needs. From pallets to ADR and conditioned transport. Our head office, which was renovated in 2021, is located in Etten-Leur, and we also have several offices in Spain. More than 150 employees and a large and versatile fleet of vehicles are now at your service throughout Europe.
When Gert and Elma van Overveld founded the company on 1 July 1988, they were convinced that large companies needed a flexible and proactive transport partner. This indeed proved to be the basis for a successful business.
Initially, transport was mainly carried out to Italy, but customer demand soon arose for transport to Spain and Portugal. Starting with one tractor-trailer combination, the fleet was further expanded. This eventually resulted in the company moving to its own premises.
By consistently using the right mix of transport resources and offering customers great flexibility and quality, the company continued to grow. After several renovations and expansions, the entirely new premises were completed in 2021, with warehousing also playing a more significant role in the company’s operations. Looking towards the future, there are also plans to build its own premises with warehousing facilities in Spain.
Our new premises in Etten-Leur were completed in 2021. This building was constructed entirely gas-free and with optimal insulation to minimise energy use. In 2022, no fewer than 1,480 solar panels were installed on our roof, allowing us to generate enough energy for our use and also supply it back to the electricity grid. Off course, we alos only have LED lighting in our warehouse and offices.
Our new and modern vehicle fleet meets the highest CO2 emission requirements.
The latest generation of trucks also has favourable fuel consumption, which also reduces CO2 emissions.
